Meet Desiree

Desiree Ramos Reiner is a lifelong resident of New Jersey. With over two decades of experience in the government and nonprofit sectors, she is ready to bring her expertise and inclusive vision to Town Hall to help all of Teaneck. 

The daughter of Cuban immigrants, Desiree grew up in a diverse neighborhood navigating between cultures and languages while excelling at school. After receiving a scholarship to attend an all girls high school, she went on to become the first in her family to graduate from college, earning her BA at Columbia University. 

Desiree has dedicated her career to helping others. Whether working in Congress or at nonprofits, she has seen firsthand the important role government can play in transforming lives and driving positive change in our communities. 

Desiree and her family moved to Teaneck in 2016. She currently serves on the Planning Board and volunteers at her kids’ schools.
